Ubud, Bali – The annual Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (UWRF) returns to the cultural heart of Bali, bringing together authors, thinkers, and artists from across the globe for a week of literary exploration and cross-cultural dialogue.
Founded in 2004 by Yayasan Mudra Swari Saraswati, the festival was born from a mission to heal and unite through the power of storytelling. Today, it stands as one of Asia’s most prestigious literary gatherings — celebrating words, ideas, and human connection.
This year’s theme, [Insert Theme — e.g., “Satyam: The Power of Truth”], explores how storytelling can inspire empathy, resilience, and transformation. Over five days, Ubud will host panel discussions, poetry readings, film screenings, and community events across its cafés, gardens, and cultural centers.
“UWRF embodies Ubud’s essence — creative, open-minded, and deeply human,” says Bali Hotels Deal. “The festival attracts travelers seeking not just beauty, but meaning.”
As literature, art, and culture come together under the palm trees of Bali, Ubud reaffirms its place as a sanctuary for ideas and inspiration.
